TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD

WHERE WE ASK THE MOST FANTASTIC PEOPLE ON EARTH THE MOST EARTH SHATTERINGLY IMPORTANT QUESTIONS…

She came, she went, she broke our hearts and left us wanting more…as divas do.  The beautiful and talented Martika hit the music scene in 1989 with the perfect pop confection “More Than You Know”.  Her eponymous album “Martika” followed and included her club-happy rendition of Carole King‘s “I Feel The Earth Move“.  Edgier and far cooler than the other young whippersnappers on the pop scene,  Martika then blew up the charts with her #1 smash “Toy Soldiers” (later sampled by Eminem).

In 1991 the album “Martika’s Kitchen” was released with a sassy single of the same name.  This album also features a collaboration with His Royal Badness, Prince, which resulted in the top ten success of the haunting “Love Thy Will Be Done”. Then, some time later, and much to our collective horror, our Teen Dream Queen vanished!

Have no fear! Martika is back to reignite our fiery boyhood crushes.  She is currently in the studio working on her new album (and not a moment too soon).  Plus, a new video for the first single has been promised. Swoon!

FANDEMONIUM: What Have You Done For Me Lately?

MARTIKA: Oooh ooh ooh ooh yeah! What have you done for me lately? Go on Janet!!!  A new CD is what I’m doing and a worldwide tour!!!!

FANDEMONIUM: Where’s the Party?

MARTIKA: Right now the party is in the studio!!! I am having a blast working on
new material for my upcoming CD.

FANDEMONIUM:  Do You Believe in Magic?

MARTIKA:  Most definitely! I am Cuban so I have seen many amazing things happen around Santeria. Plus, children are magical in their own right, so you see magic every single day.

FANDEMONIUM: Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?

MARTIKA: Speaking of that song (one of my favorites), I was speaking with Boy George just a week ago. It looks like we might be booked on some festival dates together overseas!!! Can’t wait!!!!

FANDEMONIUM:  What’s Love Got to Do With It?

MARTIKA: Absolutely everything! Without love, half of the meaning of life is gone.

Thanks Martika, We ♥ You
